- Would you like to develop systems that support the success of your business for the coming year?
- Would you like to create a marketing plan so that you’re not flying by the seat of your pants when it comes to advertising and promotions?
- Are you facing challenges in your business because you don’t have a plan?
If you answered yes to any of the above questions, then this challenge is for you. In this challenge, should you choose to accept it, you’ll spend 30 minutes a day learning and applying simple techniques and strategies to complete an operations and marketing plan for 2018.
Imagine going into the holiday season knowing what your goals are and knowing how you’re going to achieve them.
We’ll begin on November 1st, but you can jump in anytime until November 15th to get started on your 30 day challenge.
This is an online challenge that will be delivered through daily emails and website links. In-office attendance is not required to participate in this challenge. Your challenge will begin the day after you sign up. If you have any questions, click here to ask!
The Power Principles of Challenge Planning
It takes 30 days to develop a habit. It’s common knowledge that working on our business is just as important as working in our business, but making a habit of setting aside time for planning can be difficult. This challenge sets you up to build 30 minutes of focused planning time into your day.
When faced with any large task or series of tasks, you should break the work down into short, timed intervals. This is the simple methodology of the Pomodoro technique. This trains your brain to focus for short periods and helps you stay on top of deadlines.
We’re more likely to complete tasks if someone else is involved. It’s easy to break promises to yourself, it’s much harder to break a commitment to someone else. This challenge provides accountability.
So often we fail to achieve our goals or fail to follow through with our task because we do not have sufficient guidance or motivation. Challenges like this one set your goals and encourage you to plan a stepped process to achieve your goals.
What's the layout of the challenge?
Each day you will receive an email outlining the teaching and task for the day, there may be website links to explore or worksheets to download. The email will also include the time of the daily webinar for that day. These times will vary throughout the month. If you can’t attend live, they will be recorded and you can access them at a time that’s convenient for you. The program also includes a Facebook group (if you’re into Facebook) in which you can ask questions, share wins and brainstorm with the other challenge members.
The first week’s topics are
- Day 1 – Gather your tools – setting the scene for success
- Day 2 – Asset Assessment Where are you now? What do you have to work with?
- Day 3 – Stating your intentions
- Day 4 – Creating a vision board
- Day 5 – Setting your goals
- Day 6 – Calendar
- Day 7 – Reality Check
Do I have to start on November 1st?
No, that’s just when I’ll begin dripping out the daily challenge emails. If you join later, (anytime until November 15th for this round) you’ll start on day one and will finish 30 days after you begin.
Do I have to complete the tasks daily?
Why only till November 15th?
If you start on November 15th, you’ll finish up on December 15th. To avoid running into Christmas scheduling obstacles, so I’ll be shutting down the 30 day challenge on November 15th and may relaunch with a new 30 day challenge in the New Year.
